Parents

At Urmston Grammar, we recognise the importance of the relationship between parents, students, teachers and the community. We always strive together to ensure the success of all of our students throughout their time spent studying at UGS.

We wish for our parents to be informed and involved in their son/daughter(s) education. We recognise the importance of celebrating together and hold many information evenings as well as our celebration evenings. Parents' Evenings are always well attended and a good opportunity to discuss the progress of your son/daughter(s) face to face. However, we recognise that regular updates are important when tracking progress of students and parents receive progress reports throughout the year.

Communication with parents is important to us. All letters issued to parents can be downloaded from our website.

We value the support of our parents at all levels, whether dealing with uniform issues through to support with academic issues. We encourage parents to get in contact with us if there is anything of concern, at any stage of the year group, so we can work together to improve the experiences of all concerned.

We have a PTA group which meets on a regular basis to gain more of an insight to how the school works and contribute to the constant improvement of the whole school experience. If you wish to get involved, please contact the Chair of the PTA for further information.
