Enrolment 2026

Registration Day for Urmston Grammar Sixth Form will take place on GCSE Results Day, which is Thursday 20th of August 2026.

As you are aware, we have now made conditional offers for places in our Sixth Form. We would like to take this opportunity to wish all Year 11 students every success in their GCSEs, and we hope to be able to celebrate their achievements with them when they commence A Level study.

Students will need to register their place in Sixth Form after receiving their results.

We have staggered the timings to ensure a steady, uncrowded flow.

09:30 – Current Urmston Grammar GCSE students

Once students have collected their results, they should come directly to IT1 and the Learning Resource Centre to register.

11:00 – Students transferring to Urmston Grammar from other schools

Students should arrive at Urmston Grammar once they have collected their GCSE results from their previous school and should enter via our school reception where they will be directed to IT1 and the Learning Resource Centre to register.

 

Following registration, students will receive an email the next day confirming the outcome of their application. Students who meet the Sixth Form entry requirements will be considered for a place. Where the number of eligible applicants exceeds the places available, priority will be given to students already attending Urmston Grammar, followed by those with the highest Attainment 8 score. Successful applicants will be formally enrolled into the Sixth Form and will receive an enrolment pack via email. If an applicant is not offered a place, we will contact them to explain the outcome. Unsuccessful applicants will be placed on a waiting list and contacted should a place become available.
