Applications to join Urmston Grammar sixth form in September 2026 will open on Thursday 13th November after our open evening

Applications close on the 16th of January 2026.

Entry Requirements

The general entry requirements for Urmston Grammar Sixth Form are GCSE Grades 77666 with at least Grade 5s in English Language and Maths. If you feel you are capable of achieving these grades at GCSE we'd love to receive an application from you! Our individual A Level subjects also have specific entry requirements. These can be found in our Information for Prospective Students HERE. Please also find more details about our option lines at the bottom of this page. Students can select one subject from each line. Most of our students take three A Levels, however some students do take four.

Applicaa

Urmston Grammar School are proud to work with Applicaa who support our online application processes for entry into Year 7 and the Sixth Form. In August 2022 a team from Applicaa joined us on Sixth Form Enrolment Day to see the sixth form team putting the Admissions+ system into action.
