An action-packed week for our Chess Club!
Chess Club leader Mrs Chadwick is delighted to update us about a very exciting week for Chess Club!
Guest visitor from Urmston Chess Club
On Friday 7th March, Mark Davis from Urmston Chess Club visited us again for a really well-attended talk about tactics.
Students were given a range of scenarios to work through, and Mark was really impressed by some of our players' strategic abilities.
Students who are interested in joining Urmston Chess club can check out the website https://www.urmstonchessclub.com/ where they can find details of weekly club sessions. And one of our Year 8 students, Srikrish (pictured below left at the Interhouse tournament), is now a regular on one of their teams, and has been enjoying this new challenge!
