As we begin our celebrations for World Book Day, it was time at lunchtime today for the now legendary Year 7 Golden Ticket search in our Reading Room.

Our keen Year 7 readers were challenged to pit their wits to find and solve the literary clues.

And then unravel the book conundrums that would lead them to the elusive Golden Tickets concealed in a range of books.

Competing in small teams or individually, Year 7 also had lots of literary fun, while enjoying some much-deserved edible treats.

And the lucky winners not only walked away with the coveted golden tickets, but a horde of house-points for taking part, and some fabulous prizes.

Really well done Year 7 for your enthusiastic engagement with the first of our special events this week, with lots left to look forward to, including Book Swap on Thursday, a special celebratory assembly, and a visit from author Sue Cunningham on Friday.
