As we approach the half-term break, we are delighted to recognise, celebrate and congratulate the students who have read the highest number of library books this half term, who have admirably risen to the `New Year, New Chapter` House Reading Challenge, and who have in the process earned their houses those all important points.

Some of our reading champions are pictured above this morning after proudly receiving their awards: Kara 7S, Thomas 9M and Arwan 7R. Also but not pictured: Amaar 7U.

Really well done all, keep up the super levels of reading, and there's lots to look forward to after the break, including a brand new House Reading Challenge and a full programme of events for World Book Day week: the Year 7 Golden ticket search, the big UGS Book Swap, a visit from fantastic author Sue Cunningham, celebratory reading assemblies ... and yes, what else, the fabulous Book Fair, that gives our students the opportunity to spend their World Book Day vouchers on site.
