new maths mystery challenge!

As the new term begins, our Maths department is once more throwing down the gauntlet to our Year 7 and Year 8 students to participate in their seasonally themed Maths challenges, and to take the opportunity to flex their numerical skills.

They began this academic year with an Ode to Arithmetical Autumn:

The Maths department were delighted with the level of engagement from our students during the course of last year, and, as they share, they look forward to lots more taking part in their Monthly Mysteries moving forward:

This is the first edition of our 24-25 Maths Mystery Board for the academic year and there are some great puzzles set by our amazing Year 12 and 13 students for you to get your teeth into.

It would be wonderful to see lots of entries from our fantastic new Year 7 and our Year 8 mathematicians. Good luck!
