year 12 human geography trip

Another day of exploration and investigation for our Year 12 Geographers!

Only days ago, our Year 12 Geography cohort visited North Wales for a day of Physical Geography enrichment.

Yesterday, they headed to Merseyside to engage in a Human Geography field work trip.

This trip is core to their studies and an important component of the course, linking to their curriculum specification content on Changing Spaces Making Places.

The geographers toured Speke, while looking at the 'Beatles', and the ways in which the iconic band have contributed to and helped to shape the branding of Liverpool.

They also examined how inequalities were presented in Liverpool, and considered how shifting flows and connections have helped to shape the city in both the past and the present.

Our geographers also looked at stakeholders in Liverpool, and studied their role in the place-making process.

Another fantastic day of actively engaged learning for Year 12 Geography, with huge thanks to the department for organising this trip and for their ongoing support for our students, and to Mr Neale for the photography!

Performing Arts trip
Arriving in Stratford yesterday, our Performing Arts students have been fortunate enough to visit and spend time with professionals in the field at the prestigious RSC, and to participate in workshops. A fantastic opportunity for all!
