invitation to our art, design & photography exhibition

We have been delighted to share news over the year about our accomplished Artists of the Week, and on 4th July there will be a final celebration and showcase of the talents of our GCSE and A Level students at a special exhibition: `Liberty`. There will also be an exhibition of the work of our GCSE Design Technology students on the same evening.

Here Mrs Nanvazadeh (Head of Art, Design and Photography) tells us more about this milestone event:

We cordially invite you to our annual GCSE and A-Level Exhibition entitled 'Liberty'. The exhibition will be held on Thursday 4^th July at 4pm to coincide with the Celebration Evening being held, and it will be displayed in rooms A1, 2 & 3. 

This year's event is particularly special, as it marks my tenth and final one at Urmston Grammar before I move on to pastures new. 

It is with mixed emotions that I announce my departure as the Head of Art, Design, and Photography, and the decision to move on was not an easy one. The past decade has been incredibly rewarding, and I am deeply grateful for the support, collaboration, and creativity we have shared.

Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones, nurtured countless talents, and built a vibrant community that I will always cherish.

I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to each member of the department, and to the entire school community. Dedication, passion, and hard work have been the cornerstone of our success, and I am confident that you will continue to thrive and innovate in my absence.

While I am excited about the new challenges and opportunities that await me, I will dearly miss the friendships and memories we have created here. Please stay in touch, and I look forward to hearing about all your future accomplishments. 

We are excited to celebrate this year's artistic excellence and to showcase the creativity and dedication of our talented students through a diverse array of paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photographs. This milestone event highlights the culmination of our students' artistic journeys, and their impressive achievements.

Guests will have the unique opportunity to meet the young artists and to discuss their work. Refreshments will be served throughout the evening.

We look forward to welcoming you and to sharing the inspiring work of our students. 

The Design Technology department is also delighted to host its own exhibition on this date in T1, as Head of Department Mr Barber shares: "Browse the innovative NEA projects of our talented students, designed in response to a chosen context through investigation, ideas, development, realisation and evaluation".
