sixth form go to the polls

Senior Prefect Elections today: the manifestos are in and Year 12 cast their votes!

While it might have recently been the Local and Mayoral elections, today is an important date in the UGS calendar: the Senior Prefect Elections.

The fantastic Year 13 Senior Prefects sadly recently left us for the start of their A Level exams, signifying that vacancies have now arisen for our current Year 12 cohort.

An impressive number of Year 12 students have been keen to offer candidature, and, having submitted their applications, then worked hard on the production of their manifestos for election, detailing their ideas, plans and vision for supporting and contributing to not only the Sixth Form, but to the whole school community.

Year 12s are pictured above and below beginning to assemble to take part in the democratic process, and getting ready to cast that all important vote.

Staff will also vote, and we look forward to hearing the outcome of today's elections, and to sharing news about our brand new Senior Prefect team; and we wish all our candidates the very best of luck!
