whole school photograph tomorrow

UGS moment in time through a lens!

A reminder that tomorrow our whole school photograph will take place; this is a five-yearly event, and a really important opportunity to capture the entire UGS community for posterity; not least as our Year 13 students will sadly be leaving us on Friday, as the A Level exam season is upon us, and Year 11 will depart in a matter of weeks.

Pictured above is the construction read and waiting to stage the photograph, and as per letters circulated to parents and carers this week, instructions for how this will take place during period 3 tomorrow are as follows:

All students in Years 7-11 should be in full school uniform and Years 12-13 should be in full sixth form dress code, including jackets.

During the summer exam season, our Sports Hall changing rooms are out of use, and as such, students have been coming into school wearing their PE kit on days when they have PE lessons.

Tomorrow, we request that students who have PE lessons (Year 8 and Year 9) come into school in their school uniform and bring in their PE kit.

We will arrange alternative PE changing facilities on the day and this will enable students to be in full uniform for the photo.

Details of how the whole school photograph can be purchased will be circulated after the event; it promises to be fantastic!
