unveiling fabulous UGS centenary art work

Delighted to showcase the montage created by Y7 Art Club for our Centenary!

Year 7 are able to enjoy extra-curricular Art Club during lunchtime on Wednesdays, and supported by Mr Di Mauro, they have been working hard on a fantastic piece of work to celebrate the forthcoming UGS centenary.

As you can see, the montage is now completed, and we are delighted that it has been displayed in our LRC, a beautiful addition that only serves to enhance the study facility!

The LRC is a supervised independent study and extended learning environment and Library facility, with capacity for 85 students, and is available to all of our students to access outside of timetabled lessons, including after school until 4.30pm. And, for our Sixth Form students to use during Independent Study sessions throughout the day. We are also looking forward to the addition of still more computers to the space over the Easter break and in readiness for the new term, with thanks to our I.T. team.

It is lovely that the LRC has been enriched still further with this gorgeously crafted montage; with huge thanks to Year 7 Art Club students and to Mr Di Mauro for their work on this, and to Mr Savage and Mr Hammond for arranging its display on the LRC wall.

And, of course, we cannot wait for our Centenary celebrations later this year!
