Special display and resources made available to students to celebrate IWD 2024
Today is International Women's Day and to celebrate it at UGS, we have organised a special display of resources for our students to access, including the core texts that we stock by and about inspirational women in literature, history, science, culture, society, politics and sport.

We have also asked students and staff to join in nominating their s/heroes and the titles that have inspired them, and we look forward to sharing their nominations in due course.
Miss Marshall, our Careers Adviser & Careers Co-ordinator, also supplied key information, courtesy of Amazing Apprenticeships, about all the fantastic opportunities available to women in a multitude of sectors, and we have arranged a dedicated display in our LRC (shown in our lead picture and below), with links to further information to equip our students with the opportunity to find out more.
