year 13 success in british biology olympiad

In a celebratory Assembly this morning, Year 13 Biologists, who recently successfully took part in the British Biology Olympiad, received their awards and certificates.

The Olympiad comprises 2 online tests that are designed to challenge the students' Biology knowledge, their mathematical skills, and their intuition. 

In an amazing achievement, two of our students achieved Gold - which is in the top 5% of the 9000 students who took part nationally!

And 4 of our students were awarded Silver for achieving a place in the top 15% nationally, and 5 were awarded Bronze (top 30%)!

Mrs Walsh, who organised the participation of our students in the Olympiad, and Head of Year Mrs Mohamed, could not be more proud.
