beautiful day in Munich for our mfl students

Our students enjoy a fantastic sight-seeing tour on day 3 of their trip

Head of German Mr Cummins is delighted to share more news and photographs from the third day of the MFL visit to Munich and the surrounding area, and today the students have been enjoying a sight-seeing tour of the city itself.

He reports that our sixth formers have been brilliant, and have researched information to share with the group, as they tour key sights such as Frauenkirche and Rathaus: "Mia told us all about the Löwenstatue and to make sure that we rub for luck! Lola explained how the Feldhernhalle has seen much varied history. Abi explained what made Geschwister-Scholl-Platz such a key place, where the bravery of Sophie Scholl and others is marked by a special and unusual monument. And Freya explained how Professor Huber supported the Scholls, but was sadly punished afterwards. Then it was some well-earned free time to explore the town centre and find souvenirs!"

It was then time for the awe-inspiring Olympic stadium and the heady heights of the top row seats!
