Year 9 Chiara's ballet success

Chiara is selected to perform with the English Youth Ballet!

We're really proud to share exciting news about Year 9 Chiara, who recently successfully auditioned for the English Youth Ballet, and, in the face of tough competition from over 60 dancers, was selected to perform in their forthcoming production of the ballet Cinderella in Hollywood, that will be on at the Opera House in Manchester in March.

This is a fantastic achievement for Chiara, who has been taking ballet lessons since the age of 4 at the Gwyneth Hare School of Dance, where she currently trains twice a week.

Cinderella in Hollywood is set in the golden era of the movies in 1950s Hollywood, and is inspired by the story of the romance between Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier of Monaco; while working on a film set, seamstress Cinderella secures an invitation to the Press party launch, where, despite the obstacles thrown in her way by competing starlets, she meets a Prince ...

Chiara will learn her specific role in a week or so at the final castings, and rehearsals commence on 10th February.

Her favourite move in ballet is currently the pirouette, and she is looking forward to developing her moves and steps still further under training with the company in preparation for the performance.

We can't wait to hear more about Chiara's journey, and the final production in March.

Really, really well done, we are all extremely proud!
