How our students can get involved in supporting this charity appeal for gifts and essential items and provisions

MUSTARD TREE GIFT APPEAL 2023

Information has been circulated to students and letters have been emailed home about our support this December for the Mustard Tree charity, who work to provide Christmas gifts and essential supplies for the children and families living in poverty in the Greater Manchester area.

As organisers of this initiative, Mrs Rogers and Miss Salisbury, share:

By encouraging our pupils to contribute to this worthy cause, we can reinforce what we consider to be our most important values of Pride, Participation and Empathy.

We are asking our pupils in all years from 7-13 to bring in a donation if they would like to participate. Please select from the appropriate year group suggestions:

· Y7 – Toys, books (age 2-15) and long-life milk

· Y8 – Games, tea/coffee/sugar, body wash

· Y9 – warm clothing, tinned meat, pot noodle/savoury snacks

· Y10 – Waterproof clothing, chocolate selection box, cordials

· Y11 – hat/scarf/gloves, tinned fruit, tinned vegetables

· Y12 – Christmas decorations, stocking fillers, tinned soup, cereal

· Y13 – Shampoo/conditioner, biscuits, crisps

Please bring donations into school on Wednesday 13th December (please can we ask that they are not brought in before this day as it is difficult to store items prior to this date - thank you)

Huge thanks for all your continued support, and we look forward to receiving donations next week on 13th December.
