Year 7 george's taekwondo success

We're delighted to share news of George's success this weekend at the Taekwondo British Championships that took place in Coventry, where, in an amazing achievement, he won Bronze for sparring in the U12 Black Belt category, and is pictured above with his medal and in action.

Multi-talented George has trained in Taekwondo with the Trident Club in Sale since he was 5; but he is also an accomplished cricketer, as we have previously reported, playing for Urmston Cricket Club and having achieved selection for the Manchester District U11 and U12 teams:

George achieved Taekwondo Black Belt status 6 months ago and his next move is to prepare for another grading: he's currently 1st degree and is aiming to achieve 2nd by the Spring.

In February 2024, George will also compete in the English Championships that will take place in Trafford at the George H Carnall Centre.
