Guess what arrived at Urmston Grammar this Weekend?
Yes, you've guessed it! Nature hatched a plan whereby a quite wonderful package was safely delivered to us (without a strip of duck tape to be seen - just a few slivers of broken eggshell) in the shape of seven chicks. In cricketing terms, I guess they'd say: 7 - all out; and the last one's a duck! Actually, they're all ducks - or ducklings to be precise.
The expectant mother duck has made the Urmston Grammar pond her nesting ground for the last several weeks, devotedly incubating her eggs. What an absolute delight it has been to see her brood hatch and take to the school pond like... well, like a duck to water.
