girls' football tournament

Our fantastic Feminist Society, along with the PE Department and with the support of Mrs Bourne, Mrs Evans. Mrs Derby, Mr Hains, and students from year 12, organised a girls' football tournament on our astroturf.

Feminist Society is passionate about promoting and encouraging girls in football, and it was great to see how many students from across the year groups were keen to participate.

They also organised a pitch-side stall selling drinks and sweet treats, with all proceeds going to women's charities.

Feminist Society really are an inspiration to us all, and this was a lovely finale to what has been a hard-working year for the girls, promoting and publicising not only prominent women in history, culture and politics.

But raising awareness about all the issues affecting women and girls that are close to their hearts; and organising a series of fund-raising events for local and national women's charities.

Really well done girls, we are sure that you will have huge success in securing the tournament as a regular fixture on our school calendar, and we look forward to seeing all that you achieve in 2025/6!
