Munich trip continues

Ludwig's Castle, the stunning Bavarian countryside & our Year 12s lead a guided tour of the city on the final day!

It might have been heavy downpours during day 3 of our trip to Munich for a group of our Year 10 and 12 students of German.

But this did nothing to dampen their spirits or enjoyment of the experience.

They enjoyed a walk through the beautiful Bavarian countryside and up through misty hill forest.

They then had the opportunity to take part in a fantastic guided tour of Neuschwanstein Castle, Ludwig's castle, learning all about the history of King Ludwig and how his admiration of Wagner's music inspired many of the rooms.

And they also got to sample some local delicacies!

On their final day, our students enjoyed a fantastic trip to BMW World.

They then got to take in the historic sights of the city centre, including the famous town hall clock with its moving figures.

Our year 12 German students also led excellent tours for our Year 10s.

And they got to visit Munich's beautiful park and gardens.

With huge thanks to all the staff supporting this wonderful enrichment opportunity for our students and to Mr Cummins for the photography (for more pictures, see our socials)!
