record breakers!

Our Y9 students join Jamie Oliver in smashing the Guinness World Record title for largest ever cookery lesson!

Last week, 2 groups of our Year 9 students, and staff from our Food Preparation and Nutrition department, were excited to join Jamie Oliver and 10,515 cooks in schools and venues across 6 continents and 42 countries in a bid to smash the Guinness World Record for the largest ever cookery lesson (in multiple venues).

And guess what, news just in, we did it, meaning that we are officially RECORD BREAKERS!

Our students joined in the live lesson from our Food Tech classrooms.

This involved making hand-made pasta.

And a gorgeous "no-cook" pasta sauce.

All from Jamie's 10 Skills programme.

It was truly exciting for our teams to engage with the live-streamed cookery class and to receive words of encouragement from the man himself!

And, of course, to enjoy eating the delicious dish at the end!

With huge thanks to our students for their momentous efforts, and to team Food Preparation and Nutrition for facilitating this wonderful opportunity for our students.
