year 8 in paris

Year 8 explore the culturally rich French capital on a fantastic trip!
On Monday, a cohort of our Year 8 students and staff set off from Urmston to cross the Channel for a 5 day trip to the historically rich French capital, where they have been enjoying many opportunities to develop and flex their French-speaking skills and comprehension.
After a lovely journey over, Tuesday saw them enjoy a full day's programme of events. This included a trip to the fabulous Musée d'Orsay:
And an amazing guided tour of the Stade de France.
There was also time for a river cruise on the Seine, taking in all the iconic sights of the city.
On Wednesday, they enjoyed a visit to the Museum of Science and Industry:
Followed by an afternoon of shopping and a fun evening, despite some dramatic thunderstorms!
Yesterday, they enjoyed a fabulous trip to Parc Asterix (lead picture & below):
With lots of rides and treats to enjoy:
And Mr Pratska and Mr Cummins even got to meet a VIP!
For more photos, see our socials, and we wish you all a safe journey back. With huge thanks to all the staff supporting the trip and to Mr Cummins for the photography!
