geography field trip

Our Y12 geographers spend the day in Liverpool conducting human fieldwork
Following their recent Physical Geography fieldwork trip to North Wales, yesterday our Year 12 A level Geography students headed to Merseyside for a human fieldwork trip.
They engaged in applying their learning from the Changing Spaces, Making Spaces module.
Developing an understanding of the characteristics that have shaped Liverpool and Toxteth.
Our geographers thought about the different factors that have shaped the place, and its identity, both past and present.
The group spent the afternoon examining regeneration, including a surprise visit to the city's iconic Liver Building.
They also looked at the new Everton stadium, and considered the impact of sports-led regeneration.
A wonderful opportunity for our A level geographers to develop and progress their knowledge, understanding and evaluative skills.
With huge thanks to Team Geography for organising this learning experience, to Ms Bramwell and Mr Neale for accompanying our students on the day, and to the latter for the photography!
