performing arts residential & d of e

Last day in London for our Performing Arts trip & day 2 of Silver D of E practice expedition
Our Performing Arts residential in London concluded with a fantastic river cruise for the students:
And a cultural walk taking in many iconic landmarks.
It's been a full programme of enriching visits over the last 3 days for our students (see previous reports), taking in backstage tours, workshops and enjoying some fabulous productions. Mrs Glen, Mr Harrison and Mrs Niland are all proud to share that the students have been fantastic and superb ambassadors for UGS.
Really well done all and huge thanks to the Performing Arts team for delivering another wonderful opportunity for our students. And for more photos of the residential, see our socials.
D of E Practice Expeditions
As our Performing Arts students return from London, our Silver D of E students are enjoying day 2 of their practice expedition that began in the Yorkshire Dales.
And they got to enjoy some well-earned fish and chips as well as the company of a friendly 4-legged local resident!
They trekked 17 miles from Hawes to Dent whilst picking up training in map skills and enjoying the stunning scenery.
And today they will be joined in Cumbria by our year 10 Bronze D of E students for their practice expedition.
Watch this space for updates and huge thanks to Dr McPartland and all the staff who have supported this trip.
