Day 2: coastal management techniques and beach profiles!
Today our year 10 geographers have been in beautifully scenic Criccieth and at Black Rock Sands.
Here they have spent a day conducting beach profiles.
Assessing coastal management techniques and conducting EQAs.
And comparing and measuring sediment.
Before enjoying the opportunity to explore some caves.
Last night, the students even got to enjoy some time to relax and watch the all-important big match!
And this evening they are looking forward to sitting around the campfire, a now legendary component of this residential, along with the outstanding catering and hospitality.
Tomorrow, there will be time for morning lessons and lunch before the trip home.
With huge thanks to team Geography and the staff who supported this trip, and to their hosts at the centre, for providing this wonderful learning and enrichment opportunity for our students.
