supercurricular evening

Brilliant research presentations from our Year 12 Supercurricular group

Yesterday evening, our Year 12 supercurricular group presented their research on their many and varied fields of interest.

Just some of the 40-strong group are pictured in action: Ife (lead picture), Chiedozie (above) and Donnie (below).

The broad-ranging fields of interest and specialism that our cohort have conducted research into includes: dentistry, thermodynamics, black holes, medicine, philosophy, music, quantum computing, law, morality, ethics, air travel, finance, AI, business, and the food industry.

The standard of research produced, its delivery, and the engagement from all was impressively high. And we were even treated to a superb performance on guitar from Ife, who presented on philosophy and music!

The supercurricicular group is a superb opportunity for our sixth-form students to develop, progress and showcase core academic skills as they prepare for applications to university and undergraduate study.

We could not be more proud of all their hard work, and we look forward to further presentations and a special evening for their parents, carers and families later this year.

Really well done all, with huge thanks to our students and to Mr Neale, Mr Connell, and the Sixth Form team for organising this wonderful opportunity for them, and to all our staff who supported the evening.
