ve day 80 writing challenge

Celebrating the winners of our House Library writing competition!

To honour VE Day 80 last week, in addition to joining the nation in a 2 minute silence to commemorate all who fought and died for peace and unity, we were also proud to organise a house writing challenge and invited our students to submit creative or factual pieces of writing inspired by this historically significant date.

We were delighted with the many thoughtful and well-researched submissions, and can now announce that our winners and runners-up are: Zoe 7U, Toby 7U, Kara 7S, Poppy 8T and Anita 7T (lead picture) and Ayla 7R (pictured below).

The winning entries will be published in the next edition of our school magazine Perspectives, and we hope that you will take the opportunity to read them.

Really well done all and congratulations on demonstrating our core UGS values of pride, participation and empathy.
