national gardening week

Our students dig in to show support!
It's National Gardening week and our wellbeing coordinator and keen gardener, Dr Zebedee, has organised initiatives in school to celebrate and showcase the many well-being benefits of connecting with nature.
Dr Zebedee is committed to cultivating and developing the school gardens and the area around our much-loved pond as a space for all in our school community to relax and enjoy the environment, and this week she has devoted time to digging and planting around the pond. She was delighted that our students were keen to lend their support and pictured above are keen volunteers Anita and Ria 7T.
Dr Zebedee also grew and brought in a huge variety of fruit and vegetable seeds, and arranged them in our conservatory for staff to select, take home, nurture and enjoy.
Another really great opportunity for our whole school community to participate in; with huge thanks to Dr Zebedee and our student gardeners for all their hard work this week. And we look forward to sharing updates on how things bloom!
