celebrating success

And more in a busy few days!
8-0! HUGE congratulations to our brilliant Year 7 boys who, yesterday evening, won their second Trafford League fixture with this incredible final score! We're incredibly proud of you all, and we can't wait for the next game!
House Library Poetry Slam
In celebration of National Poetry Day, today our KS3 students enjoyed participating in a fun poetry event and flexing their prosaic skills to come up with a poem on the spot inspired by an autumnal object.

Some truly inspired pieces were produced with the winners yet to be announced – watch this space!

MFL Extracurricular clubs
Today also saw the launch of a brand-new club in Mandarin, with a big shout-out to Arwen 11U who suggested, organised and led the club activities.
It was all about learning how to introduce ourselves and practising numbers 1-10. A great start and we look forward to next week! And yesterday, talented linguist Ilinca 13X, who received a commendation in the prestigious Queen's College Oxford Anthea Bell Prize for Young Translators, launched Spanish club, another great language opportunity for our students. The clubs meet each Tuesday and Monday lunchtime respectively, and we can't wait to check in on how they're getting on!
House Mixer events
This week also sees the relaunch and return of our House Mixer events for Year 7 and 8. Starting with Park yesterday:

And continuing with Orme today, it's a great opportunity for students to get to know their fellow house members, house leaders and house prefects, all while having lots of fun and enjoying some treats.

Mersey's turn tomorrow. We can't wait!
