volleyball success

We're delighted to share that 5 of Urmston Grammar Volleyball players: Anna 11T, Alice 12M, Muhau 12X, Joe 12G and Elsa 11T (who couldn't make the photo) have been selected to represent England Under 18s at the NEVZA (North European Volleyball Zonal Association) championships that will take place in Denmark next month.

Huge congratulations, we're very proud of you all, best of luck & we look forward to sharing updates!

And as our new extracurricular timetable gets underway, there are a huge range of sports clubs on offer for our students to choose from, including many volleyball opportunities, such as Year 7 mixed that will take place during Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes:

And Year 7 Boys' football: the first meeting was held after school yesterday, led by Mr Regan, and they will meet during Monday lunchtimes moving forward.

Today, the Cultural Society met (Sixth Form committee pictured below) and a special event for Black History Month is in the planning.

Debating Club also held its first meeting of the year, with just one of the groups pictured in action below, debating the use of AI. We look forward to sharing news about all that they achieve!
