best ever gcse results!

The wait was over today for our fantastic Year 11 GCSE Class of 2026, and it's fair to say that it was worth the wait!

We could not be more proud or delighted to share that our students have achieved our best GCSE results ever!

Incredibly, 76.4% of grades achieved were 9-7, which is equivalent to grading A** to A.

Even more incredibly, over half of all results achieved by this fantastic cohort were grades 9 and 8, equivalent to A** and A*!

Following on from last week's incredible A-level results, this is a great day for UGS, and, once again, we have been delighted to celebrate with our students and their parents and carers.

Not to mention some family pets who were keen to join in the celebrations!

Today's results, a landmark in our school history, are a testament not only to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our students, but to our staff also.

And, it goes without saying, to the support of our amazing wider school community of parents and carers.

We've also been delighted today to enrol a huge number of our Year 11 students and those from other schools into our Sixth Form, and we can't wait to welcome them back in September for the start of their KS5 journey!
