odd arts workshop

Brilliantly creative and inspirational workshop for Year 8!

Today two groups of our Year 8 students enjoyed the opportunity to participate in fantastic workshops delivered by Tilly, Haiesha, Sara and Paddy from Odd Arts.

Odd Arts aim to inspire through creativity and their theory-based theatre workshops deliver impactful work within criminal justice, community, education and healthcare settings.

The workshops opened with Tilly encouraging our students to think about, voice and discuss core issues affecting the wellbeing of young people today.

Haiesha, Sara and Paddy then delivered an impactful short play.

And our students were asked to respond with their thoughts and observations on the issues presented in the performance.

There was also the opportunity to actively contribute, as some volunteers performed with Paddy and enacted their responses to the play!

Well done David, Edison and Joel! And it was great to see Year 8 so engaged, we're incredibly proud of their participation.

With huge thanks to Odd Arts for visiting and giving our students a creative platform to explore wellbeing and to think more about strategies to support themselves and each other.
