Our wellbeing ambassadors participate in a fantastic workshop on wellbeing!
Today, supported by Dr Zebedee, our year 7-9 wellbeing ambassadors participated in a brilliant workshop delivered by #BeeWell representatives Rachael Grant and Katie Leach.

#BeeWell is a programme that supports young people's wellbeing and their expression of their views by listening to their voices and Urmston Grammar recently participated in their national survey.

The survey asks young people about areas of wellbeing and influences on them. It is a way to give them safe, inclusive opportunities to form and express their views, and to provide a platform on which their views are listened to and heard.

Today, our wellbeing ambassadors were given the opportunity to hear about and discuss wellbeing, and the survey results both for Greater Manchester and for UGS.

And in groups, to share ideas, create mind maps and present feedback and suggestions.

Our students also discussed what helps their wellbeing, the role of community in this, relationships, experiences at school, feeling prepared for life, and their thoughts on the survey results.

It was also an opportunity to voice their thoughts on what is going well in school and in the community, and ideas they have for change and development.

Mr Kennedy-Fowler and Miss Lowe were delighted to hear the presentations at the end of the workshop and to discuss the ideas presented with our students.

We're incredibly proud of their work today, with huge thanks to our Wellbeing Coordinator Dr Zebedee and to Rachael and Katie for visiting today to inspire and work with our students.
