celebrating achievement

In English, MFL and music!
Today our students have impressed across the board, and we're delighted to celebrate their successes and achievements in several departments!
Firstly, in our lead picture is 7R, who have been studying Shakespeare's The Tempest and were tasked by Mr Connell to create short films of Caliban's "Isle of Noises" speech, that were judged by Miss Derby, Mrs Glen, Miss James and Mrs McNally.
All were blown away by 7R's creative representation and interpretation of the speech, and this morning the group enjoyed the opportunity to watch each of the films before Mr Connell presented awards to the winners: Oliver, Seth, Eve, Sophie, Georgia and Evie. And with an honourable mention to Sophie’s cat, Mr Pickles, who played Ariel!
The judges were all incredibly impressed with the high standard of the work produced. Well done 7R!
Year 7 French Spelling Bee
At lunchtime today in our Auditorium, representatives from 7U and 7R who had qualified for the final heats competed in the French Spelling Bee.

Our MFL department were greatly impressed by their efforts, with huge congratulations to Sophie, Siana, Vedhika, Charlie, Shaheer and Lucas for some outstanding results!
