Year 12 celebration of achievement

And more as another busy week ends!

Proud Head of Year Mr Neale, and Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Mangham-Dewhurst, were delighted to host a special celebratory event for our high-performing Year 12 students.

This was in recognition both of their incredible attainment in achieving on or above their MTG (Minimum Target Grade) in all of their subjects in their recent mock exams, and/or for being awarded the highest grade 1 for their attitude to learning across all of their courses.

This is an incredible achievement for the group and, as Mr Neale observed when he shared his pride in them all and awarded certificates, we are certain that they will continue to aim high on their academic pathways towards aspirational goals and outcomes. Well done!

Also, this week, our Year 11 Performing Arts students travelled to Birmingham Hippodrome.

Where they were privileged to see the acclaimed National Theatre production of their set text, James Graham's brilliant play Dear England.

While Year 10 participated in stage one of their Interhouse sports tournament.

And, last but not least, this weekend our KS3 girls are at Boreatton Park in Shropshire for their PGL netball residential.

They have made all accompanying staff incredibly proud with their high levels of play and team spirit, and our Year 7 girls won 3 out of 4 of their matches. Well done!

And our girls also tackled the "King Swing" with grit and determination!

One more left to go; enjoy girls, you've got this!
