Celebrating our Volleyball stars!
We're delighted to start the week with some fantastic news to celebrate: four of our very own UGS Volleyball team members: Kairon 11M, Muhau 11T, Anna 10T and Iris 12S (pictured above) have been selected for the England squad to compete in the U18 Men's and Women's Student and Winter Cup.
As detailed by Volleyball England: "The players have been selected following a training camp held at Loughborough University from 20th to 22nd December 2025.
The Student Cup Finals will take place on 7th and 8th February in Norwich at the University of East Anglia and follows the successful qualification of both teams from November’s pool stages.
The Winter Cup follows from 20th to 22nd February in Pordenone, Italy.
Joining England in the women’s competition are Croatia, Czechia, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Japan and Montenegro, while the same teams, aside from Slovenia replacing Italy, will be playing in the men’s competition". 1
