pitch your passion

Celebrating the entries to our House Non-Fiction November writing contest!

To celebrate national Non-Fiction November, we organised a House writing competition for our students to participate in.

The challenge was to "Pitch Your Passion" and to write a promotional article about a favourite hobby, pastime, interest or activity.

Our students did us proud, submitting a broad range of entries on a huge variety of interests and pursuits in the field of sport, music and crafting, and more, including rubik cube-ing!

At break time today, the students were invited to a celebration with Mr Kennedy-Fowler, Mr Regan, Head of Year 7 Miss Harding and Head of Year 8 Miss Devenney-Lees, where all present got the opportunity to read and enjoy each of the entries.

We take pride in fostering the participation of our students in wider interests as part of our extracurricular and enrichment programme, and the competition and celebration today was a great opportunity to harness this, and for our students to learn more about activities in which they might like to get involved.

The entries will now be guest-judged by Mr Kennedy-Fowler and Mr Regan, and we look forward to announcing the winners. Watch this space!
