pride participation & empathy

Our students delivered some early Christmas cheer today towards some worthy causes!
We're always really proud of the hard work undertaken by our students towards contributing to our school, local and wider community.

And today they did us particularly proud. Firstly, our House Prefects (just 2 of whom, Adam and Chiedozie, are pictured in our lead picture and below with house leader Mrs Chadwick) have organised a fund-raising drive, that launched today and will continue to take place throughout this week, to raise money for our annual Christmas party for the children of Delamere School, a lovely occasion that also sees us welcome a very special gift-bearing guest!

It was lovely to see the support shown by our students for this great cause, and our House prefects will continue to sell candy canes that will be delivered with a festive message throughout this week, with all proceeds going towards what promises to be a wonderful party for the children.

Also today, our School Council invited students to spend their lunchbreak writing Chrismas cards that will be distributed to the residents of local care homes.

Again, our students from across the year groups did us incredibly proud.

And we are delighted that so many gave their time towards this charitable endeavour in the true spirit of Christmas.

Great ambassadors all for our core UGS values of pride, participation and empathy, well done!
