let's sing!

Yesterday evening marked a very special date on our school calendar: Let's Sing! 

Year 7 parents, carers and staff were treated to a truly magical series of performances, arranged by our Lead teacher of Music, Mr Harrison, ably supported by Mrs Glen and team Performing Arts.

Opening with a whole year group performance of Bill Withers' Lovely Day:

Each of the Year 7 forms then performed a series of songs, including Britpop classics Don't Look Back in Anger (7U):

And Wonderwall (7M), Lewis Capaldi's Someone You Loved (7R), Elton John's I'm Still Standing (7S) and Vance Joy's Riptide (7T).

The truly gorgeous finale was the classic Fix You by Coldplay, arranged by Mr Harrison.

As Mr Kennedy-Fowler concluded in giving thanks, this very special evening is not only a celebration of and testimony to the talents of our Year 7 students, but to how far they have already come on their UGS journey, and we could not be more proud.
