gcse presentation evening

A wonderful celebration of the success of our Class of 2025!

Yesterday evening we were delighted to welcome students, parents and carers from our Class of 2025 to our GCSE Presentation Evening.

Mr Kennedy-Fowler (pictured below), Chair of Governors Nick Crowther, Assistant Head Mr Roberts, Pastoral Leader Mr Gough, and our staff and governors were proud to join our guests in celebrating the success of the cohort.

Proceedings began with a fantastic musical performance of Shiro Sagisu's `Going Home` from Year 10 student Garcia and we were also delighted to welcome back former student Yaseen (pictured below), who is now reading Law at Manchester University, to deliver an inspirational speech to our students and guests and to help present certificates.

As well as presenting students with their exam certificates, the evening was also an opportunity to award special prizes, trophies and commendations.

These included the JJ Holleran shield for overall academic achievement presented to Julie:

The Riffat Wall award for endeavour and application that went to Will:

And 21 subject specialist awards from our teaching departments:

To close proceedings, Year 12 student Anna delivered a Vote of thanks:

Chair of Governors Nick Crowther concluded our very special evening of celebration, a truly fantastic opportunity for our whole school community to share their pride in the achievements of our Class of 2025, a great many of whom have joined our Sixth Form, and we wish the entire cohort the very best of well-deserved success as they progress on their academic and vocational journeys.
