house week

This week saw the launch of an exciting new series of events for our House system: HOUSE WEEK!

Every day, there will be an assembly for each of the houses, to which all students are invited.

Bradfield started proceedings on Monday, pictured above yesterday is Mersey, Oak have had theirs today, tomorrow is Orme, and on Friday it is Park's turn.

A really great opportunity for students from all year groups to join together in their houses and enjoy the assembly delivered by our house leaders and prefects.

Also, during house week, any student who earns 5 plus house points will get a special house week bonus of 5HPs added to their running total!

There is everything to play for, which houses will climb the leaderboard, watch this space!

Year 7 Netball Success

In other news, Mrs Evans is proud to report that our Year 7s (pictured below) had their first netball fixture last night, winning 1 and drawing 3. They had a fantastic time and learnt lots. A really great start to their netball journey here at UGS! 

Really well done to the team: Vivienne, Lily, Heidi, Isla, Hadassa, Sharon, Grace, Kotomi, Aminah, and Issy, and watch this space for news on all that they achieve!
