volleyball success

So proud of our UG Volleyball stars!
Following a hugely successful season for Urmston Grammar Volleyball, we're delighted to share news that 5 of our talented players, in a huge achievement, have been selected by Volleyball England to compete in the Under 17 NEVZA (Northern European Volleyball Zonal Association) Championships in October, which is a European Championships qualifier, and they are pictured above this morning:

This week has also seen the launch of our extracurricular PE timetable, which, as well as football, netball, cricket, table tennis, badminton and access to the fitness suite, also involves, yes you guessed it, lots of volleyball, led by Head Coach Mr Ainsworth.
Yesterday at lunchtime, KS3 Girls's Volleyball was underway in the gym:

Our whole school extracurricular timetable will be published soon and there promises to be a wide-ranging programme of activities and clubs for our students to participate in, embracing a multitude of fields of interest.
