supercurricular event

A celebration of the wonderful research projects undertaken by our 6th form students
Assistant Head of Sixth Form Mr Neale was incredibly proud to invite parents, carers, staff and peers to a very special event delivered by our 6th form super-curricular group that showcased the impressive research projects that they have undertaken in a wide expanse of fields.
20 students completed the full programme that involved 3 phases: a critical essay, a presentation and a poster.
Earlier this year, they delivered mini-lectures on their research, and yesterday evening they were delighted to display and discuss the work that they have produced in all its formats.
The wide breadth of topic areas researched by our students includes: architecture, law, ethics, business & economics, science, dentistry, medicine, engineering, philosophy, geography, AI, history & culture.
Our students were also keen to field questions from the many guests who attended.
And to share more about what had inspired them to undertake research in their chosen field, and about all that they had learnt from participating in the super-curricular programme.
A really lovely culmination of all their hard work, and it was wonderful to hear the students share their passion not only for their subject areas, but for the programme itself and the opportunities it presented for academic, professional and personal development.
Really well done all, with huge thanks to the supercurricular group of students, to the parents, carers, staff and peers who attended, and to Mr Neale and the Sixth Form Team for organising and facilitating this fantastic enrichment opportunity for our students.
