house celebration

Fantastic end-of-term assembly celebrating our house champions & events!

This morning, our House leaders organised a very special end-of-term assembly.

To celebrate all of our house achievers and champions, and all the great House events and initiatives that have taken place this term and throughout the year.

They were proud to introduce our brand new Sixth Form house prefects for 2025-6:

Who also presented prizes to the top house-point awardees per year group.

There were celebrations and awards both for this term and for the whole academic year, with a big shout-out to:

Y7: Charlie (Orme house & pictured below)

Y8: Asfer (Orme)

Y9: Thomas (Mersey, pictured below)

Y10: Muhau (Oak)

Y12: Adam (Bradfield)

We celebrated all the house successes of our recent Sports Day, and the many school records that were broken, including Daniel 9R, who, in a fantastic achievement, broke the discus record with a phenomenal 29.95 metres (unbroken since 1997)!

The final standings for the houses are:

We looked back on and celebrated other recent house events, including: Year 9 Battle of the Bands; our library creative writing competition and our house reading champions; the Speed Maths competition organised by our 6th form house prefects (huge congratulations to winner Evie 8T); and UGS FPL, congratulations to champion Mr Tabor!

Finally, with an epic drum roll and much excitement, the reigning house supreme for 2025/6 was announced and celebrated: PARK!

HUGE congratulations to Park. But watch out for 2025/6: there is everything to play for for our houses!

Mrs Wall concluded the assembly by sharing her pride in all the students, in their hard work, effort, dedication and contributions to our house system and to our whole school community endeavours.

And in our house leaders and prefects, and all that they do to deliver a series of wonderful opportunities for our students to engage with.
