post 18 options day

Year 12 take part in mock interviews & a full day's programme of workshops

Our post-18 options day has taken place today during which our entire Year 12 cohort got the opportunity to optimise their applications to university and degree apprenticeships by participating in a full day's programme of mock interviews, workshops and sessions hosted by guest visitors, the SFT and staff.

Representatives (including some former students) from a wide variety of professions, including law, medicine, veterinary science, dentistry, physiotherapy, finance and engineering, kindly gave their time to visit school to conduct mock interviews with our students who aspire to pursue careers in these sectors.

There were workshops on university and course choices hosted by the University of Lancaster (lead photo).

CV writing with Mrs McNally (above) and inductions to the Unifrog platform and UCAS hub with the Sixth Form team:

A really great day for all involved, with huge thanks to all the visiting representatives for supporting our students and to the Sixth Form team and all the staff who supported this fantastic opportunity for Year 12.
