a level English lit trip

A night at the theatre rounds off another busy UGS week!
It has as ever been an eventful few days in school. Last night, our English department arranged a fantastic evening at the Lowry Theatre for our Year 12 and Year 13 A-level English literature students to see the Lowry Theatre's production of Arthur Miller's thought-provoking play Death of a Salesman, and the group are pictured above and below excitedly waiting to go in.
In other news, we are extremely proud of kind-hearted Yami 12U who specially arranged a charity stall of healthy refreshments to raise funds for Little Green Sock Project's Save our Baby Bank campaign and the vital community work they carry out.
It was lovely to see students and staff from our school community turn out to show their support. Well done all, and another great example of our students, not least Yami, upholding our core values of Pride, Participation, and Empathy.
Last but by no means least, our new term programme of after-school volleyball sessions is well underway, and it was great to see so many of our students participate in this week's glorious sunshine.
And Urmston Grammar Volleyball is, of course, riding high after last weekend's epic Final Cup success that saw 2 of our teams, U15 and U16, crowned national champions.
