year 7 residential

This morning our forms 7U, 7R and 7M excitedly set off from Urmston:

For day one of their 3-day residential trip to YMCA Lakeside in scenic Ulverston in the Lake District.

On arrival, it was time for a well-deserved lunch, speedy check-in to rooms, before launching into a full programme of activities for the afternoon. These included kayaking:

Where lots of games helped to build Year 7's skills on the water, before it was time for a fun slide into the lake!

Our students enjoyed a rotation of activities including raft-building, abseiling, and working as a team on Nightline.

And after a delicious evening meal, there was time to relax around a camp fire.

Year 7 look forward to a jam-packed day of events tomorrow, and on Wednesday 7S and 7T will enjoy the opportunity to head to the Lakes!
