year 7 library event

There was lots of fun, friendly competition taking place at lunch today as our Year 7 students took part in a house library event in celebration of the annual Roald Dahl Story Day, pitting their wits in a quiz on the popular author's books.

It was great to see so many of our Year 7s enthusiastically taking part as their UGS reading journey begins and also demonstrating superb commitment towards being awarded those all-important house points.

Who will be crowned our house quiz champions? Winners will be announced tomorrow once the results are in!

UKMT Mathematical Competition for girls

Also today, a cohort of our talented Year 11 and 13 mathematicians also competed in the UKMT Mathematical competition for girls. We wish them the very best of luck and look forward to sharing the results!

Extracurricular

Our extracurricular timetable is already well-established and yesterday it was lovely to see so many of our students take part in the first meeting of the year for Craft and Chat Club.

The students enjoyed the opportunity to learn how to make Kumihimo bracelets and club members are also welcome to bring along their own craft projects with meetings take place every Week B Monday lunchtime in T3!

Meanwhile, some great footwork & team spirit was on display on the astro at Year 7 boys' football!
