celebrating talent

We're delighted to share news about our students (and brothers!) Garcia 10S (lead picture) and Diego 13T (pictured below), who have been studying every Saturday with the RNCM Young Artists and will be performing at the RNCM at what promises to be a spectacular showcase of talent on Sunday 5th July.

Garcia joined the programme in Year 7 and Diego in Year 10, and each year they successfully auditioned to secure their place; during their time there, they have had the opportunity to perform at a number of prestigious venues, including Band on the Wall, The Yard, Contact Theatre, and, finally, the RNCM itself.

Studying at these iconic repertories has been an amazing opportunity for them both to further develop their piano skills, an instrument they are both highly proficient in. And whilst both boys have been at the RNCM, they have also performed on keyboard playing with their own bands.

Playing alongside a band on so many occasions and at so many venues has provided fantastic opportunities for the boys to learn so much, but also to have a lot of fun along the way. Sadly, this is Diego’s final year as he will embark on a degree in Aerospace Engineering in September, but he will greatly miss the RNCM.

Garcia has recently auditioned to secure a place for the forthcoming year, and we wish him the very best of luck and success in achieving this!
